Life is a dance, and we can develop a rhythm in order to move with the flow of its constant changes. This is the Art and profound science of Daily Routine.
A routine does not need to take up the whole day or overwhelm you with another list of things to do. A healthy routine is molded into your daily life just like taking a shower, eating a meal or taking a deep breath. With the intention of developing balanced routine practices, we are truly living in respect, trust and deep, unconditional love.
When becoming more aware of how routine can support your life, good questions to ask are: “How do I wake myself up in the morning?” “How do I put myself to sleep at night?” and, “What am I doing in between waking and sleeping to balance my day?” Simple questions, yet profoundly very important when integrating or changing your routines.
Incorporating healthy, supportive practices as routine is one of the best ways to avoid disease and discomfort, from digestion and sleep issues to mental fog and depression. The art of developing a routine is universal in its language and individual in its application where each person is unique. To know yourself is to know what makes you feel balanced on a day to day basis and then to apply those techniques and integrate them into your life.
When I wake up in the morning, no matter how tired, cranky, or foggy I may feel, my practices never fail to bring me into reality, into my heart. When I want to be balanced, happy, satisfied, I stay in the routine of my daily sadhana, from movement and meditation to food and sleep. Then and only then do I feel that prana (breath) and life are serving me. Where my days are happening for me, not to me.
I have seen the art of routine change peoples’ lives both subtly and physically. It is not to say that our practices will create sparkles and butterflies every moment or an idealized feeling or sense of perfection. Our balanced routines create something even better, a sense of peace even in chaos, and a feeling of wholeness even in times of challenge. I have seen in others and experience it everyday in myself, the profound gifts of daily intention.
Using the tools and practices of Yoga and Ayurveda we can easily avoid imbalance while fulfilling all of our daily responsibilities and at the same time, feeling an increase in our energy and happiness.
Join me Saturday, June 25th from 3:30pm-6:00pm and learn how you can integrate simple yet effective tools to develop your personal routine using the science of Ayurveda and Kundalini Yoga.
From this workshop you will gain knowledge of how to incorporate daily practices in a practical and realistic way that will serve you and your world.
I look forward to seeing you there!
Blessings and Light,
